Can I just get one of their jobs for a month or two? I can run things in to the ground just as well as the next guy.Joe Janeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05858974237565248026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153888337668314458.post-73338024216343941672008-10-14T22:57:00.000-05:002008-10-14T22:57:00.000-05:00I'm a relative newcomer to Chicago but have been l...I'm a relative newcomer to Chicago but have been lucky enough to catch the shell game on the CTA several times. The fun time was when the group of con artists decided to run it on a Cubs game day. A few Cubs fans got very belligerent with them- and that's when the con artist you weren't expecting stepped forward, pretending to be a plainclothes off duty police officer, and threatened to arrest everybody if they didn't settle down....and yet he seemed to need to get off at the same stop as the rest of the shell game people....<BR/>Does anyone ever actually play the shell game? I feel like they must or all of these con artists and shills would stop trying. But I've never played it, or seen anyone play it that wasn't obviously in on the scam.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153888337668314458.post-55046651518764658412008-10-14T21:18:00.000-05:002008-10-14T21:18:00.000-05:00i just came from a meeting, our town planner and f...i just came from a meeting, our town planner and finance director, make 91,000 and 108,000 a year. they want a raise of 5,000 and 8,000 a year. in these hard times i think thier shell game isn't in play. needless to say we told them no and if they have another offer somewhere else then thanks for your past work and have a nice life. i can't believe the finance director wants a raise when our state funding will be less and layoffs may happen. can you believe this shit? she knows the score and still wants a raise. bye bye biotchmark krausehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217904623872059412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153888337668314458.post-26962384092643321602008-10-14T09:27:00.000-05:002008-10-14T09:27:00.000-05:00Funny.
