And I like names that are interesting, evoke a character image and fun, but not too ridiculous.

Regarding Lars, I had the same thought, but decided to make him a complete ass. My angle is that for parents these days, particularly those on their third or fourth marriage, the shine has probably worn off on weddings. I'll revisit that when I revise it and see how I feel down the road.Joe Janeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05858974237565248026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153888337668314458.post-10936758330838570142009-06-02T11:17:03.063-05:002009-06-02T11:17:03.063-05:00There's something missing in this one for me. Is there a way to show him as a little more loving toward Jenny, at least?

It's obvious he is a horrible father, but wow, even I can't buy that someone would be that dismissive at his daughter's wedding in front of a room full of people without some reason, even a flimsy one.

I like the out, though.

Also, I have notice you have a tendency toward really fun names, like Moe, but sometimes they confuse me because it takes a second to figure out the gender. For a one line character like Moe here, wouldn't it be a little clearer to give her a traditionally female name, like Sue? How do you go about picking names?Chris Othichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17749643560107203860noreply@blogger.com
